Britain's Ian Hamilton is fresh off of taking down the EPT London £5,300 Main Event for a career-best £664,400, so PokerNews spent an orbit with the newly minted EPT champ.

Hamilton stayed ahead as the board ran out 7♣9♦J♣5♣8♠ to improve him to a straight and eliminate the short-stacked opponent.

Hand #6 (Hijack): Simone Andrian opened to 2,100 from under the gun and Hamilton folded.

Hand #7 (Early Position): Hamilton folded.

Hand #8 (Early Position): Hamilton opened to 2,100 and Ghassan Bitar three-bet to 6,200 from the next seat. Hamilton called. Hamilton checked on the flop of 10♥7♦7♠ and Bitar bet 6,600. Hamilton check-raised to around 30,000 and Bitar called off with less.
