Thorel Looking to Win Another EPT Mystery Bounty Event

Niveau 10 : Blinds 2,000/4,000, 4,000 ante
Jean-Noel Thorel
Jean-Noel Thorel

Jean-Noel Thorel opened to 10,000 in middle position, Yazan Mdanat flatted in the cutoff, and Joris Ruijs defended the big blind.

The flop fell {q-Hearts}{j-Spades}{6-Spades}, Ruijs checked, and Thorel bet 15,000. Only Ruijs continued, but he check-folded to a bet of 20,000 on the {k-Diamonds} turn.

Thorel is looking to find another EPT Mystery Bounty victory after he took down the €10,200 Mystery Bounty tournament at the previous EPT stop in Monte Carlo.

Meanwhile, Mdanat has also chipped up considerably early in the day and holds over three times the starting stack.

Kulev Eliminated by Pihela

Niveau 10 : Blinds 2,000/4,000, 4,000 ante

Action was picked up on the turn in a three-way pot on a board of {4-Hearts}{9-Clubs}{8-Hearts}{10-Clubs} with a heap of chips already in the middle.

Bejjani Kamal checked from the small blind and Alex Kulev in middle position moved all in for around 50,000. Igor Pihela called on the button and Kamal went into the tank before folding.

Alex Kulev: {10-Diamonds}{10-Hearts}
Igor Pihela: {j-Hearts}{7-Hearts}

Kulev had top set but was behind the straight of Pihela and needed to improve to a full house to stay alive. Kulev couldn't do so as the {a-Clubs} peeled off on the river and he was eliminated.

Steve O'Dwyer was on the button and collecting a double with his stack of approximately 140,000 against Mike Watson in the big blind.

O'Dwyer held {a-Diamonds}{10-Hearts} against the {7-Hearts}{7-Diamonds} of Watson, and the completed board showed {k-Diamonds}{j-Diamonds}{10-Clubs}{k-Clubs}{q-Hearts} to improve O'Dwyer to the best hand, securing his double.

Kanit Felted by Vogelsang

Niveau 10 : Blinds 2,000/4,000, 4,000 ante

Mustapha Kanit moved all in from the small blind with a short stack and was called by Tom Vogelsang in the big blind.

Mustapha Kanit: {a-Hearts}{8-Clubs}
Tom Vogelsang: {a-Spades}{5-Diamonds}

Kanit had his opponent dominated but the board ran out {7-Clubs}{k-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds}{5-Hearts}{6-Diamonds} and a turned pair of fives gave Vogelsang the best hand to send Kanit to the rail. The Italian quickly bought back into the event in the final level of late registration.
