Da Silva Finds a Double

Niveau 18 : Blinds 4,000/8,000, 8,000 ante

Daniel Camelo Da Silva moved all in from middle position for 137,000 and was called by the bigger stack of Fredrik Skarfstad in the small blind.

Daniel Camelo Da Silva: {k-Clubs}{k-Hearts}
Fredrik Skarfstad: {k-Spades}{j-Spades}

Da Silva was well ahead preflop until the flop came {q-Spades}{q-Clubs}{10-Spades}, giving Skarfstad a royal flush draw and plenty more outs. The turn came the {5-Clubs} and river the {7-Diamonds}, dodging the many cards Skarfstad needed, doubling up Da Silva.

With cards already on their backs and the board already run out, Xuan Liu secured a double through Harry Lodge ahead of the second break.

With the board showing {k-Spades}{a-Diamonds}{8-Clubs}{9-Hearts}{2-Hearts}, Liu had {a-Clubs}{k-Diamonds} for two pair against the pair of aces of Lodge with {a-Hearts}{j-Diamonds}, who was left with around 150,000 as Liu climbed to 450,000.

Aces Up for Margereson

Niveau 18 : Blinds 4,000/8,000, 8,000 ante
Scott Margereson
Scott Margereson

With over 100,000 in the pot on a {a-Spades}{9-Clubs}{7-Spades} flop, Daniel Camelo Da Silva check-called in the hijack for 40,000 against Scott Margereson on the button.

Da Silva again check-called for 147,000 on the {k-Hearts} turn, and the {4-Spades} completed the board. Da Silva checked and Margereson used a time extension before checking as well.

Da Silva showed {a-Clubs}{j-Clubs}, but it was no good as Margereson tabled {a-Diamonds}{k-Diamonds} to claim the pot.

Chang Fails to Make the Pay Jump

Niveau 18 : Blinds 4,000/8,000, 8,000 ante

Carlos Chang raised to 16,000 before Chino Rheem reraised to 60,000 on the button. Chang then four-bet to 180,000 and Rheem moved all in.

"I said all in. Let's go," Rheem said as Chang, with around 20,000 behind, began tanking.

"He's waiting for the pay jump. It's at 143. It's impossible," tablemate Giuliano Bendinelli said as the tournament clock showed 148 remaining. Chang eventually called.

Carlos Chang: {a-Hearts}{10-Spades}
Chino Rheem: {j-Hearts}{j-Clubs}

Chang hit the {a-Diamonds} in the window, but it was followed by the {8-Clubs}{j-Spades} as Rheem made a set of jacks. The {9-Clubs} on the turn gave Chang some hope of making a straight, but the {2-Hearts} on the river didn't give him the help he needed as Rheem sent him to the rail, short of the pay jump.

Niveau 18 : Blinds 4,000/8,000, 8,000 ante
Michael Wang

Hamed Sedini opened from the hijack for 18,000 and Jack Salter made the call from the small blind. Michael Wang elected on a three-bet to 60,000 and only Sedini came along.

The dealer fanned out {9-Hearts}{3-Diamonds}{3-Clubs}, Wang continued for 40,000 and Sedini quickly called. On the {5-Hearts} turn Wang kept the aggression up with another bet, this time to 60,000.

Sedini went deep in the tank, using two time bank cards, before reluctantly making the fold.

"Did you fold jacks?", said another tablemate, trying to get information from Sedini who didn't answer the question.

Emmanuel Lopez raised in early position and David Peters three-bet jammed his short stack from the hijack. Lopez called when the action got back around.

David Peters: {a-}{j-}
Emmanuel Lopez: {k-Spades}{q-Clubs}

Peters couldn't stay ahead as the board ran out {j-Hearts}{9-Spades}{9-Hearts}{q-Diamonds}{6-Hearts} to pair Lopez' queen and mark the elimination of the American high stakes pro.

Three Players Try to Take Out Rajkovic

Niveau 18 : Blinds 4,000/8,000, 8,000 ante

Adi Rajkovic was down to 17,000 when he moved all in from the hijack and received three callers, including Ibrahim Ghassan on the button and blinds Xuan Liu and Alessandro Grilli.

All three players checked down the {8-Spades}{8-Diamonds}{k-Clubs}{5-Spades}{4-Diamonds} board and Liu turned over {5-Hearts}{3-Hearts} for two pair. Ghassan and Grilli both mucked as Rajkovic stood up from his seat before exposing {j-Clubs}{10-Hearts} and making his way to the exit.

Harutyunyan Doubles Two Hands In a Row

Niveau 18 : Blinds 4,000/8,000, 8,000 ante

The action started when Tigran Harutyunyan moved all in from early position for 62,000 and only Benjamin Diebold made the call from the cutoff.

Tigran Harutyunyan: {k-Spades}{j-Hearts}
Benjamin Diebold: {8-Hearts}{8-Clubs}

The board ran out {j-Spades}{10-Spades}{5-Diamonds}{q-Hearts}{9-Hearts}, Diebold announced "I have a straight", while he laughed, knowing Harutyunyan had the bigger one and the winning hand.

On the very next hand Harutyunyan found himself all in again when he shoved for 144,000 from under the gun and Igor Pihela made the call.

Tigran Harutyunyan: {a-Hearts}{q-Hearts}
Igor Pihela: {k-Spades}{q-Spades}

Harutyunyan was well ahead with the better kicker and when the board ran out {q-Clubs}{8-Clubs}{4-Diamonds}{j-Clubs}{5-Spades}, it was the pair of queens with an ace kicker that took the pot for Harutyunyan who doubled up two hands in a row.
