Garagnani Leads the River

Niveau 13 : Blinds 8,000/16,000, 16,000 ante

Juan Pardo raised to 33,000 from the button and Pedro Garagnani defended his big blind. The flop came {10-Spades}{4-Diamonds}{2-Clubs} and Garagnani checked to Pardo, who bet 25,000.

Garagnani called as the turn came the {2-Spades}, Garagnani again checked and this time Pardo bet 115,000.

Garagnani called to see the {4-Spades} on the river, when he led out for 42,000. Pardo quickly gave up his hand.

In the latest edition of the PokerNews Podcast, Sarah Herring returns to join Chad Holloway and Jesse Fullen in talking about all the latest in the poker industry. That includes the legend himself, Doyle Brunson, celebrating his 89th birthday. Listen to folks like Phil Hellmuth, Eli Elezra, Matt Savage, and Stefanie Ungar wish "Texas Dolly" a happy birthday.

They also dive into the uproar caused by Hustler Casino canceling a $250K GTD tournament after it had already held four flights, discuss Dan Shak getting into hot water in the commodities world, and debate whether or not they could live in Bally's for a year for $100,000, a popular prop bet that was talked about on social media this week.

Other stories include popular streamer Ludwig calling out the same scammer that Ethan “RampagePoker” Yau did, winners from the recently-completed 2022 Seminole Hard Rock Poker Open (SHRPO), and the new slate of online bracelets coming to WSOP.com and GGPoker. Finally, the crew remembers three-time bracelet winner Panayote "Pete the Greek" Vilandos, who passed away at the end of July.

Petrangelo Bets Big With Straight Showing

Niveau 12 : Blinds 6,000/12,000, 12,000 ante

Erik Seidel raised to 27,000 from early position and was called by Mikita Badziakouski, Nick Petrangelo on the button, and Kent Staahle in the big blind.

The flop came {6-Spades}{8-Clubs}{7-Hearts} and action checked to Badziakouski who bet 30,000. Petrangelo and Seidel called, while Staahle folded.

The turn came the {10-Spades} and Petrangelo opened the betting this time, firing out 50,000. Seidel folded, but Badziakouski stuck around to see the {9-Diamonds} on the river and checked.

Petrangelo bet another 375,000 and Badziakouski, with a straight showing on the board, tanked into the break before mucking.

Peters Takes Out Loeliger

Niveau 12 : Blinds 6,000/12,000, 12,000 ante

Linus Loeliger was already all in with an extreme short stack as David Peters and Pedro Garagnani saw a flop of {6-Diamonds}{4-Hearts}{6-Clubs}. Garagnani bet 12,000 in the big blind and Peters came back with a raise to 42,000.

Garagnani called, then folded to a bet of 135,000 on the {10-Spades} turn. Peters showed {4-Spades}{4-Clubs} for the flopped full house and Loeliger quickly got up from his seat as he flipped over {a-Spades}{j-Clubs}, already drawing dead.

The meaningless {a-Diamonds} fell on the river and Loeliger was eliminated, bringing the field down to the final three tables.
