Some Confusion But No Drama on Table Five

Niveau 21 : 8,000/16,000, 16,000 ante

Gregory [Removed:372] raised to 45,000 on the button and Rudy Hadjedj called in the small blind. Some confusion followed after that as Italy's Alessandro Adinolfo, who apparently speaks very little English and French, then made it 140,000 to go. [Removed:372] folded and Hadjedj called to see a flop of {a-Hearts}{10-Spades}{4-Clubs}.

Hadjedj checked and folded to a bet worth 75,000, after which Adinolfo offered to expose one of the cards. The {a-Spades} was flipped over and Hadjedj mentioned in table chat he had folded pocket eights.

One hand later, [Removed:372] raised and Hadjedj three-bet to 100,000. The shove by [Removed:372] followed and Hadjedj snap-folded.

"You three-bet me very light, eh?" [Removed:372] asked in French and received "well, I can't call you" as a reply.

Perletto Doubles Through Amsellem

Niveau 21 : 8,000/16,000, 16,000 ante

Patrice Perletto had 158,000 chips committed to the pot in the small blind against Jacob Amsellem in the cutoff.

Perletto's remaining 6,000 went into the middle on the {a-Diamonds}{2-Clubs}{2-Diamonds} flop.

Patrice Perletto: {a-Spades}{q-Hearts}
Jacob Amsellem: {9-Hearts}{9-Diamonds}

The {4-Diamonds} and {a-Clubs} completed the board to improve Perletto to a boat and confirm his double.

Rouayroux Pressures Vincenti

Niveau 21 : 8,000/16,000, 16,000 ante

Francois Vincenti opened with a raise to 31,000 from middle position and Xavier Rouayroux three-bet to 85,000 from the cutoff. The button and blinds got out of the way and Vincenti called.

The flop was {9-Clubs}{7-Diamonds}{3-Diamonds} and Vincenti checked. Rouayroux bet 65,000 and Vincenti didn't give it much thought before tossing his hand in the muck.

Mooney Wants Call; Doesn't Get It

Niveau 21 : 8,000/16,000, 16,000 ante
John Mooney
John Mooney

In a preflop raising war, Andrea Rocci raised it up and then let go of the {a-Spades}{q-Hearts} face-up on the button. "I wanted the call but don't mind the fold," John Mooney said as both players avoided to battle for stacks. Mooney had exposed the {a-Diamonds}{k-Hearts} for the superior kicker and raked in the pot before the next hand unfolded.

The Brit has been a regular fixture on EPT stops and holds several deeper runs in Side Events to his name throughout the years.

Mazza Doubles Through Nguyen

Niveau 20 : 6,000/12,000, 12,000 ante

Sylvain Mazza had raised on the button and then faced the shove by Allan Nguyen from one seat over. After half a minute of consideration, Mazza called all-in for the last 196,000 and they were flipping for it.

Sylvain Mazza: {j-Diamonds}{j-Spades}
Allan Nguyen: {a-Clubs}{k-Hearts}

No paint cards appeared on the {9-Hearts}{8-Spades}{2-Diamonds}{5-Clubs}{3-Hearts} board and Nguyen's stack was cut short.

Hadjedj Conquers Conqui

Niveau 20 : 6,000/12,000, 12,000 ante

With plenty of chips in the middle, Jerome Conqui jammed the heads-up turn of {8-Hearts}{5-Spades}{3-Hearts}{4-Hearts} for around 470,000. Rudy Hadjedj called for the 243,000 he had behind and had very little to fear in the following showdown.

Rudy Hadjedj: {a-Diamonds}{a-Hearts}
Jerome Conqui: {9-Diamonds}{9-Spades}

Only one nine was alive but the miracle never happened for Conqui, who had to fork over a decent portion of his stack after the blank {4-Clubs} river. A few minutes later, the seat of Conqui was empty as he was sent to the payout desk.
