De Hollanda Sent to the Rail by Segebrecht

Niveau 12 : 3,000/6,000, 6,000 ante
Luciano De Hollanda
Luciano De Hollanda

The cards of Luciano De Hollanda were already mucked as his stack and the one of Claas Segebrecht were counted. Segebrecht held the superior stack for 195,000 while De Hollanda's 188,000 were covered.

On a board of {8-Hearts}{6-Hearts}{5-Clubs}{k-Clubs}{k-Diamonds}, the duo had gotten it in after the turn as confirmed by Timothy Adams. "It was a three-bet pot, he had ace-king with the king of hearts," the Canadian mentioned. Segebrecht held the winning hand in {6-Spades}{6-Clubs} for a set of sixes to win the large pot.

Reixach Rushes Jattin Out

Niveau 10 : 2,000/4,000, 4,000 ante
Sergi Reixach
Sergi Reixach

The flop read {j-Clubs}{k-Spades}{8-Spades} with 22,000 in the middle.

Sergi Reixach had check-raised the 12,000 button bet of Farid Jattin to 40,000 from the big blind for the latter to tank for a while.

After using a time bank card, Jattin opted to shove for around 125,000. Reixach snap-called.

Farid Jattin: {k-Hearts}{8-Hearts}
Sergi Reixach: {j-Diamonds}{8-Clubs}

They had both flopped two pair but Jattin was ahead with the kings and eights until the turn came with the {j-Spades} for Reixach to improve to a full house. With two outs left, Jattin was getting ready to get up from his chair and when he saw the {3-Clubs} on the river, he made his way out of the tournament area.

At the same time, Jimmy Guerrero was spotted walking to the exit too.

Mateos and Kisacikoglu Escape From Elimination

Niveau 10 : 2,000/4,000, 4,000 ante
Adrian Mateos
Adrian Mateos

Orpen Kisacikoglu raised to 8,000 and was called by Koray Aldemir in the cutoff. Adrian Mateos then pushed for 50,000 in the smallb lind and Kisacikoglu did so for another 32,000 on top. Aldemir called the two all-ins with the biggest stack of the trio.

Adrian Mateos: {a-Diamonds}{10-Spades}
Orpen Kisacikoglu: {a-Hearts}{10-Hearts}
Koray Aldemir: {a-Clubs}{q-Clubs}

The {10-Diamonds}{6-Hearts}{3-Hearts} flop improved Mateos and Kisacikoglu with the latter freerolling thanks to the nut flush draw on top. Nothing changed on the {5-Clubs} turn and {9-Spades} river as Mateos and Kisacikoglu escaped from elimination.

"You are now allowed to win a race anymore," new arrival Joao Vieira joked to the 2021 WSOP Main Event champion Aldemir in table chat.

The first High Roller contest of the 2022 PokerStars European Poker Tour (EPT) presented by Monte-Carlo Casino® at the Monte-Carlo Sporting complex will play down to a winner today. It was a very promising start for the return of Europe's premier live poker tour to the French Riviera after a three year hiatus and a field of 71 entries has emerged thus far in Event #4 €10,200 Mystery Bounty, of which 50 players remain for the final day.

Thanks to a short-lived first day, the late registration remains open for another two levels when the action gets back underway as of 12.30 pm local time in the America's Room. All those who have been eliminated just once or new participants can enter and the only player no longer eligible to join again is Andras Nemeth, as he has exhausted the maximum of two entries already.

Ben Heath leads the pack with a stack of 404,500 and he is followed by Luciano De Hollanda (340,500), Sergi Reixach (300,500), and Sam Greenwood (277,000). Also among the overnight top ten are the likes of Alex Kulev, Timothy Adams, and Boris Kolev.

The tournament also features the latest craze in the world of poker, the Mystery Bounty format. From the €10,200 buy-in, €4,700 will go towards the cash prize pool while €5,000 are allocated to the bounty prize pool. All Mystery Bounties will be calculated once the registration closes and they come into play when the event has reached the money stages.

The contenders still in contention when the cash bubble has burst will receive a Mystery Bounty token. For each opponent eliminated, the winner will collect the respective token and can then draw an envelope to determine their bounty prize.

With a cash prize pool of €333,700, the Mystery Bounties will play a pivotal role on the business end of the tournament and you can follow along right here on PokerNews as the live reporting team will be there until the final hand has been dealt.
