Mendes Scores an Early Knockout
Niveau 25
: Blinds 20,000/40,000, 40,000 ante
Dan Petrea moved all in from under the gun for 455,000 and Johny Mendes moved all in on top from the button with a covering stack to put Petrea at risk.
Dan Petrea: A♦Q♣
Johny Mendes: J♣J♥
It was a classic flip that Mendes pulled ahead of on the 8♥4♠5♦ flop. Mendes spiked a set on the J♠ turn leaving Petrea calling dead. The 7♦ river was inconsequential and Petrea was sent to the rail while Mendes collected a decent pot.
