De Kermadec Spikes the Turn to Leave Popovic Fuming

Niveau 9 : Blinds 600/1,200, 1,200 ante

Adam Benabou raised to 2,500 from under the gun and was called by Arnel Popovic next to hand before Brice De Kermadec moved all in for 23,600 in middle position.

Action folded back to Benabou who quickly folded, but Popovic snap-called.

Brice De Kermadec: KQ
Arnel Popovic: AA

Popovic had gotten tricky with aces and it seemed as if it would pay off as he had De Kermadec at serious risk of elimination. The 57Q flop gave De Kermadec a pair and some hope, and he spiked the K on the turn to make two pair.

The river came the 3 and Popovic was forced to pay off De Kermadec, muttering to himself the entire time.

Team PokerStars Pro Rafael Moraes is at this table with a below average stack, while Mateusz Moolhuizen is currently sitting on around 50,000.

A spectator came over to cheer on the hand as the board ran out AK7J4. The river brought Lin a flush to win the hand. Lin laughed and got up to give Mantor a hug as he left the table.
