EPT Barcelona

While Day 1a is still running, Day 1b of the €2,200 Estrellas Poker Tour High Roller of the PokerStars Estrellas Poker Tour (ESPT) at Casino Barcelona is going to start at 7 p.m. local time.

Like in all the other tournaments so far, Day 1a is breaking records with more than 1,500 entrants one level before the end of late registrations. The count of 2,173 entrants last year can be beaten thanks to Day 1b. Among all these players, one of them will succeed Miroslav Alilovic, who won the trophy and €512,650* last year.

Like on Day 1a, the second flight will start at Level 1 with blinds of 100/200 with a 200 big blind ante. Players will have a starting stack of 30,000 chips and try to increase it until they reach the money (the bubble will burst once approximately 15% of the field remains). After that, they’ll be qualified for Day 2 and bag up their chips for the night.

The only difference with Day 1a is that Day 1b will be an accelerated flight, with 20-minute levels. There will be 20-minute breaks every five levels, and late registration will end after Level 10 (around 10:40 p.m.). Also, players are allowed unlimited reentries.

Stay tuned to PokerNews for full coverage of the ESPT High Roller as reporters follow the action all the way down to a winner.
