Plante Makes The Right Call to Extend Chip Lead

Niveau 18 : Blinds 4,000/8,000, 8,000 ante
Santiago Plante
Santiago Plante

Umberto Ruggeri opened to 18,000 on the button and was called by Santiago Plante in the big blind.

Plante checked to Ruggeri on the 22Q flop and he bet 16,000. Plante then check-raised to 48,000 and, undeterred, Ruggeri made it 109,000 to go. Plante called.

Both players checked on the 10 turn and Plante checked again on the A river. Ruggeri wasn't finished and bet 154,000 — sending Plante deep into the tank.

After using two time extensions, Plante announced a call and Ruggeri turned over 77. Plante had it beat and tabled Q9 to claim the massive pot.

Double Up For Kourka

Niveau 18 : Blinds 4,000/8,000, 8,000 ante

After an open, Ignacio Sagra in the small blind went all in for 190,000 chips. In the big blind, Vlantouts Kourka seemed to have a hand, but utilized a few time banks because of the pay jump. He eventually called.

Vlantouts Kourka: JJ
Ignacio Sagra: K4

A four came on the flop A46 to give a pair to Sagra, but it wasn't enough. Kourka doubled up after the turn A and the river Q. Sagra has a slightly bigger stack, so he is down to two blinds.

Boutaleb Calls Ramos Light

Niveau 18 : Blinds 4,000/8,000, 8,000 ante

Djamal Boutaleb raised to 17,000 from under the gun and was called by Dennys Ramos in the hijack for a heads-up pot.

Boutaleb continued for 10,000 on the 3JK flop and Ramos called.

The 7 fell on the turn and Boutaleb bet once more — this time for 31,000. Ramos again called.

Boutaleb slowed down and checked on the 3 river and Ramos slid a hefty 115,000 bet into the middle. Boutaleb thought a while before calling and Ramos turned over AQ for a flush.

Boutaleb showed he held 44, seemingly unaware Ramos had made a flush until it was pointed out to him, and Ramos was sent the pot.
