Knight, Beltz Race For the Chip Lead

Curtis Knight raised to 80,000 on the button and was called by Felipe Morelli in the small blind. Wouter Beltz, in the big blind, then three-bet to 465,000.

Knight came back with an all-in shove and Morelli quickly got out of the way. Beltz asked for a count before committing his last 2,200,000.

"One of us is going to be chip leader," Beltz said awaiting the flop in the more than 4,000,000 chip classic flip. The K♠K♣2♦ flop was a disaster for Beltz, as Knight made trips.

The A♣ on the turn improved Knight to a full house and left Beltz drawing dead. "Please no queen," Beltz said standing up from his seat preparing to make his exit by the time the 10♦ fell on the river.

Beltz was sent to the rail, while Knight rocketed up past 6,000,000.

Felipe Morelli opened to 40,000 from under the gun and Oshri Lahmani called on the button as Curtis Knight defended his big blind.

On the A♠9♥7♥ flop, Morelli continued for 90,000 and only Lahmani called. Morelli then checked on the A♥ turn and Lahmani checked back.

Both players checked again on the 6♥ river and Morelli showed 10♣9♣, which was no good against the A♣J♣ of Lahmani.

Sydenstricker bet again on the J♣ turn, this time for 135,000, forcing a fold from Wahl.

With about 335,000 in the middle and the board reading Q♥Q♠8♥, Khazret Nebezhev bet 65,000 from early position holding K♣J♣. He was called by Robin Ylitalo in the cutoff who held 10♣8♣.

The turn came the 3♦ and Ylitalo called another bet from Nebezhev, this time for 195,000.

The river came the 4♦ and Nebezhev fired a third barrel for 380,000. Ylitalo used one time extension before ultimately making the fold.

Action was heads up with around 180,000 in the middle and 3♥5♦3♣ on the board when Mohamad El Rais bet 60,000 from middle position. Thomas Boivin made it 180,000 and El Rais called to see a turn.

The turn was 2♣ and El Rais checked before Boivin tossed out 380,000. That was too much for El Rais and he mucked his cards without much hesitation.

A few hands later, Morelli and Santiago Plante went heads-up to a flop of 9♥3♣5♣ where Morelli bet 90,000 on the button and Plante raised to 360,000 in the big blind.

Morelli called to the 3♦ turn, where he led out for 410,000. Plante snap-folded.
