Efe Gets Massive Double Through Pepping
Niveau 30
: Blinds 60,000/120,000, 120,000 ante
Roelof Pepping opened the cutoff to 240,000 before the action made it to Aziz Efe who defended his big blind.
The 7♦7♥J♦ flop hit the felt and Efe checked it over to Pepping who put out a bet of 150,000. Efe took a moment and then put in a check-raise to 425,000.
Pepping thought it over, looked at the dealer, and announced he was all in. Efe snap called.
Aziz Efe: Q♦10♦
Roelof Pepping: K♣J♣
Pepping was in the lead but Efe had plenty of outs. The 9♠ turn gave him even more in the form of a combo draw. He was looking for a diamond, king, or eight to complete his straight or flush. Luckily he drilled both a straight and a flush in the form of a K♦ river.
Efe got a pure double and Pepping was left with only about six blinds.
