Aleksejs Ponakovs defended his big blind after Mikalai Vaskaboinikau had raised to 20,000 from the button. The 9♥7♥Q♠ flop saw Ponakovs check and call the subsequent 15,000 bet of Vaskaboinikau.
The 3♦ turn and 5♠ river were then knuckled by both players, and Ponakovs showed A♠10♥ for the best hand with ace-high.
