Yuri Suvorov raised to 800 from middle position and Simon Wiciak reraised to 2,000. Suvorov four-bet to 7,500 and Wiciak five-bet to 13,500, which represented most of Suvorov's remaining stack. Suvorov made the fold and Wiciak won the pot.

Aurelijus Sipavicius checked from the big blind after seeing the 10♦10♣J♣ flop, with Peter Jorgne firing a bet of 1,200 in the cutoff. Stefan Dimitrov called on the button, leaving the hand heads up once Sipavicius folded.
Jorgne led out for 3,500 on the Q♠ turn, seeing a call from Dimitrov. Jorgne slid out another bet of 4,500 after the 8♣ river, with Dimitrov tossing in the call.
Jorgne showed A♦9♣ for a straight, but it was only good for half of the pot after Dimitrov showed the same straight holding A♣9♥ to chop it up.

With around 8,000 in the pot on a board of 10♦Q♥J♠4♦, Andrea Dato bet 3,900 from the cutoff and Vidar Oie called in the cutoff.
The river came the 9♠ and Dato moved all in for 15,200. Oie was pained by the decision but eventually decided to call.
Dato then turned over A♦K♥ for the flopped nut straight and Oie mucked.
At the same time at another table, Jacek Pustula bet 3,000 on a board of 2♣7♥K♥10♠ and Valentin Cristea called in the cutoff, while Brice Flavien folded his big blind.
The river came the 3♠ and Pustula bet another 8,200. Cristea gave the decision some thought before folding.
While 2023 Estrellas Main Event winner Lucien Cohen is doing "a one-man-show" for his second bullet, his friend Suat Uyanik at another table called in the cutoff an open by Robert Fluereci in middle position.
Kairat Turaliyev in the big blind called too, and on A♠Q♥10♦, Uyanik called a continuation-bet to 1,500. He was the only one to do so, as the big blind folded. But on the turn 9♦, Fluereci bet 4,000. And this time, Uyanik folded.
Moments later, Cohen was coming behind Uynanik shouting "It's my friend, world champion", before posing for the cameras.
Konstantin Voronin raised to 800 on the button before Alejandro Lococo three-bet to 4,000 in the small blind. Voronin called and they went heads-up to the 2♠J♦J♠ flop.
Lococo then continued for 3,000 and Voronin called. The turn came the Q♣ and Lococo slowed down and checked as Voronin fired out 6,600.
Lococo called to the Q♠ river, where Voronin bet another 10,700. Lococo instantly called with A♥J♥, but Voronin showed 10♠8♠ for a flush to win the pot off the Team PokerStars Pro.
The field on Day 1a has started to creep into another area of the Merit Royal Diamond tournament area. Players recently taking their seats in this part of the room include EPT Barcelona third-place finisher Carl Shaw, Dario Sammartino, and Joao Vieira.

Marcin Kreft three-bet to 2,500 in the cutoff and was called by button Ali Zebarjad, big blind Alexander Zubov, and Deividas Daubaris in the hijack.
The flop came 8♥2♦3♣ and action checked to Zebarjad who bet 4,000. Only Daubaris called as Kreft and Zubov got out of the way.
Both players checked the K♥ turn before Daubaris led out for 10,000 on the A♥ river. Zebarjad quickly folded.
Dmitry Gromov open raised to 700 from late position and Stefan Lehner three-bet to 3,100 from the small blind. Jessica Teusl then four-bet to 25,500 from the big blind. Gromov folded and Lehner went into the tank.
"It's my boyfriend," said Teusl as Lehner thought through his decision. He made the fold and Teusl won the pot.
She then gave Lehner the pick of which of her cards to flip. Lehner turned over her K♦.
The next hand, Teusl three-bet Lehner again and scooped the pot. Tough love.
Three-way action on a flop of 4♠3♥9♠ saw Dimitry Gromov fire 1,200 from the big blind, finding calls from Jessica Teusl and Harpreet Gill on the button.
Gromov led out again for 3,600 on the J♣ turn, with Teusl making the call. Gill then slid out a raise to 16,600.
Gromov took a moment before mucking his hand, while Teusl followed with a fold. Gill showed J♥9♥ for top two pair as he added the pot to his stack.
