Vogel's EPT Turns Into a Nightmare

Niveau 2 : Blinds 100/200, 200 ante

With around 4,000 in the pot on a flop of K46, Florian Vogel bet 1,700 from the big blind before button Maksim Haitsiukevich raised to 5,200.

Vogel called and the 10 fell on the turn. Haitsiukevich then fired out 7,500, Vogel moved all in, and Haitsiukevich snap-called.

Vogel turned over AA, but Haitsiukevich showed him the bad news when he flipped over 66 for a flopped set. The river came the J and the stacks were counted down. Haitsiukevich had 22,500 remaining and barely had Vogel covered, sending him to the rail on the second level of the day with nothing but a bad beat story about how his aces were cracked.

Action was on the river on a board of 108JQ9. Kanan Taherkhani moved all in for around 20,000, an overbet into a pot of around 12,000. Hannes Jeschka was the only other player in the pot and he was left scratching his head as he went into the tank to think about his decision.

Eventually Jeschka made the call. He flipped over AK for a straight. Taherkhani turned over AQ for the ace high flush to win the pot and double up his stack. Jeschka was eliminated.
