Kulev Cracks Aces to Bust O'Dwyer

Steve O'Dwyer opened to 18,000 from under the gun and Jenya Gavrilovich called from the cutoff. Justin Bonomo then made it 80,000 from the small blind. Alex Kulev then four-bet jammed for around 370,000. O'Dwyer, who had slightly less, called for his tournament life while the remaining players folded.

O'Dwyer was in great shape to get a double up and some change but the K♦10♠K♠ flop gave Kulev a full house. No ace or king would arrive on the 4♦ turn and Q♠ river, and a dejected O'Dwyer left the tournament room.

Haxton Next to Bust; Vaskaboinikau Hits Aces and Chidwick Takes Last Few Chips

Action folded around to Isaac Haxton, who raised from the small blind. Mikalai Vaskaboinikau reraised all in from the big blind and Haxton called. Vaskaboinikau had the slightly shorter stack and so was the player at risk, although for both players the hand basically represented their tournament life.

Vaskaboinikau was way out ahead with his pocket aces. The board ran out 6♦4♣J♠9♣10♥ and Vaskaboinikau held. That reduced Haxton's stack to less than one big blind.

A couple of hands later, Timothy Adams raised to 18,000 from early position and Haxton called for his last 3,000 chips. Stephen Chidwick called in the small blind to play for a side pot against Adams.

The flop came 7♦Q♣6♣ and both players checked. The turn was the 3♠ and Chidwick led out for 13,000. Adams folded and Chidwick and Haxton flipped their cards.

Thorel Takes From O'Dwyer Then Doubles Up Bonomo

Jean-Noel Thorel opened to 16,000 from under the gun and called Steve O'Dwyer's three-bet to 60,000.

Thorel checked the J♥7♥5♥ flop and O'Dwyer checked back from the cutoff. On the 6♣ turn, Thorel led out for 55,000 and O'Dwyer folded.

Two hands later, Thorel opened in the small blind before Justin Bonomo, with a stack of 380,000, three-bet from the big blind. Thorel responded by four-bet jamming as the bigger stack and Bonomo called for his tournament life.

Jenya Gavrilovich opened to 16,000 from the cutoff and was called by Justin Bonomo and Alex Kulev from the small and big blind.

Gavrilovich continued for 17,000 on the K♣K♥7♦ flop and only Bonomo called. The latter then check-called for 19,000 on the 6♦ turn.

Bonomo checked for a third time on the 4♠ river and Gavrilovich fired a third barrel of 26,000. After using one of his time bank chips, Bonomo raised to 232,000, leaving himself with 1,000 behind.

After using up five time bank chips himself, Gavrilovich folded and conceded the pot.
