In a heads-up pot with 120,000 in the middle on a board showing Q♥9♦6♣J♣, Adrian Mateos bet out more than the pot to 160,000 from the big blind and Daniel Dvoress made the call in the hijack.

The 2♥ completed the board and Mateos slowed down with a check to Dvoress, who took some time before announcing a bet of 250,000. Mateos went in the tank, but after close to 30 seconds, made the fold and the pot was sent to the Canadian.

Ketzer Gets Lucky To Score Massive Double Up

Just before the break, Roman Samoylov opened the action to 45,000 in early position and it folded to Felipe Ketzer in the cutoff who moved all in for 475,000. The rest of the table got out of the way and Samoylov called to put Ketzer at risk.

Ketzer was out-kicked and in rough shape, but when the board ran out 9♠6♣5♠6♠Q♠, it was the spade on the river that saved Ketzer with a flush to score the massive double up off Samoylov.

A sweaty flop emerged as the 10♦8♣J♦ gave Jozonis a set of tens, but Samoylov still had a plethora of outs with an open ender and a flush draw.

The 3♠ did not change anything, but the 6♦ made Samoylov the nut flush. Jozonis said his goodbyes to the table and was the first player to collect a six-figure score from his high roller endeavor.

The river fell the 4♠ and Ladev checked again. Mateos put him to the test for his final 100,000 chips, which sent Ladev into the tank. After a while, he made the call for his tournament life.

Mateos showed down 6♦5♥ for the rivered straight. ''Do I have to show?'' Ladev asked. After an affirmative answer was given, he showed that he had called with just a pair of ducks: Q♥2♣.

The hero call did not bear fruit and Ladev was eliminated as the first player from the final two tables.
