2023 PokerStars EPT Monte Carlo
Niveau: 8
Blinds: 400/800
Ante: 800
Motoyoshi Okamura opened to 1,500 from under the gun and only Daisuke Ogita made the call on the button.
The flop came Q♥5♣2♠ and Okamura checked to Ogita who tossed out a bet of 3,500. Okamura took a moment before making the call and the Q♦ hit the turn.
Okamura checked again and Ogita sized to 6,000, which Okamura called. The 4♣ completed the board and action checked to a showdown.
Okamura tabled A♥9♠ for ace-high and Ogita took down the pot with 6♣6♥ for two pair sixes and queens.

Dario Sammartino raised to 1,300 from under the gun and Thomas Eychenne three-bet to 4,400 from the hijack. Sammartino called and the duo saw a 10♣3♦2♥ emerge from the deck. Eychenne put out a continuation-bet of 3,400 and Sammartino check-called.
The 10♥ turn then checked around before Sammartino took the betting lead on the 7♦ river. He led out for 7,500 and this sent Eychenne into the tank.
After using one time bank extension, Eychenne made the call. Sammartino reluctantly showed his Q♥J♦ and Eychenne proudly showed his A♦K♠ for the ace-high hero call.
The call elevated Eychenne's stack to more than double the starting 50,000.

Dominik Nitsche was down to around 20 big blinds when he opened to 1,200. Johan Guilbert then three-bet to 3,200 and Nitsche made the call.
On the K♣10♣K♥ flop, Guilbert bet 1,500 before Nitsche check-raised all in for 7,500. Guilbert readily called and the pair showed their hands.
Dominik Nitsche: Q♥J♥
Johan Guilbert: A♥K♠
Guilbert flopped trips but Nitsche was drawing very live with his open-ender and backdoor flush draw. Nitsche hit his straight on the 9♣ turn and the Q♦ river gave him a bonus pair to go along with it.
Nitsche doubled up while Guilbert's camera crew documented his disappointment.

Dominykas Mikolaitis opened the action to 1,400 from under the gun and Philip Sternheimer made the call next to act. The rest of the table folded around to Christopher Chaudey in the big blind who came along as well.
The flop fanned out K♣9♥2♠ and Mikolaitis continued for 2,000, which only Chaudey called. On the 5♠ turn Mikolaitis sized up to 8,000 and again Chaudey put chips in for the call.
The A♠ hit the river and Mikolaitis took some time before putting out a small bet of 6,200. Chaudey took close to 30 seconds, but in the end made the call. Mikolaitis tabled Q♠10♠ for a disguised flush and scored the pot when Chaudey mucked his cards.

Fahredin Mustafov and Ramon Colillas were heads up in a pot worth 45,000 chips. The board was dealt up to the turn and read 10♦Q♦6♠6♦. At this point, Mustafov went all-in for his last 25,000 chips and Colillas instantly called with the covering stack.
Fahredin Mustafov: K♣Q♥
Ramon Colillas: A♦A♥
Mustafov had flopped top pair but it was no good against the overpair of Colillas. Colillas only needed to fade a few outs and he accomplished that when the 8♠ completed the board on the river.
Mustafov left the High Roller area while Colillas stacked up to over two starting stacks.

Laszlo Molnar raised to 1,400 from the cutoff and Renat Bohdanov three-bet to 4,000 from the button. Molnar called and the pair saw a flop of 8♠8♥10♥, which they both checked.
Molnar then took the initiative when the 6♥ hit the turn, betting 3,200. Bohdanov used a time bank chip before raising to 8,000 and Molnar did the same before he eventually folded.

In a heads-up pot with just over 10,000 in the middle on a flop showing 10♥7♦4♣, Philip Sternheimer checked from the hijack to Stephen Chidwick in the cutoff who bet out 6,000. Sternheimer pondered for a moment before making the call and the pair saw the 2♠ turn.
Sternheimer checked again and Chidwick tossed out a bet of 12,000, which Sternheimer came along to the 8♠ river. Sternheimer quickly checked a third time and Chidwick took close to 30 seconds to contemplate his options. Eventually Chidwick tapped the table and the cards were shown.
Sternheimer rolled over J♦10♦ for top pair, but was no good against the Q♥Q♦ for Chidwick to scoop the pot.
