Volkmann Goes Down and Back Up

Niveau 17 : Blinds 10,000/20,000, 20,000 ante

Bruno Volkmann raised to 40,000 in middle position and was called by Juan Navarro in the small blind. The flop came {a-Hearts}{9-Spades}{8-Spades} and Volkmann continued with a bet of 25,000. Navarro check-raised to 85,000 and Volkmann jammed all in. Navarro quickly called off his stack of 185,000 and the cards were on their backs.

Juan Navarro: {q-Spades}{j-Spades}
Bruno Volkmann: {a-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds}

Navarro flopped a combo draw and the {10-Hearts} on the turn made his straight to leave Volkmann drawing dead to the {3-Diamonds} on the river.

A couple of hands later, Andre Marques raised to 40,000 on the button and Volkmann three-bet to 140,000 from the big blind. Marques snap-called and tabled {j-Spades}{j-Clubs} against the {9-Hearts}{9-Diamonds} of Volkmann.

The board ran out {9-Spades}{7-Hearts}{5-Diamonds}{5-Hearts}{10-Diamonds} and Volkmann made a full house to double back up.
