Grafton Makes Straight To Eliminate Hall

Niveau 17 : Blinds 3,000/6,000, 6,000 ante
Sam Grafton
Sam Grafton

Sam Grafton was all in against Galen Hall preflop. Players flipped their cards, with Hall at risk and Grafton with most of his stack in play.

Galen Hall: {a-Hearts}{q-Diamonds}
Sam Grafton: {a-Diamonds}{j-Hearts}

The board came {a-Spades}{k-Clubs}{6-Hearts}{q-Clubs}{10-Diamonds}. Hall had the best of it preflop and both players hit their ace on the flop. The turn gave Hall two pair and left Grafton drawing thin as he called for his outs. The {10-Diamonds} river gave Grafton the straight and doubled him up. Hall tapped the table and said "gg" as he left.

Picone Takes One Shortly After Break

Niveau 17 : Blinds 3,000/6,000, 6,000 ante

Igor Picone raised to 12,000 and Julien Sitbon called. Antoine Vranken called in the big blind and three players went to the flop.

The flop came {4-Hearts}{8-Clubs}{6-Hearts}. Vranken checked, Picone checked, and Sitbon bet out for 14,000. Vranken folded and Picone called. The turn was the {2-Clubs} and both players checked.

The river was the {9-Diamonds}. Both players took their time over their decisions before checking it back. Picone showed {9-Hearts}{7-Hearts}. He'd flopped a straight draw and made a pair on the river, which was enough to take down the pot.

Michalak Rivers a Wheel

Niveau 17 : Blinds 3,000/6,000, 6,000 ante

Jakub Michalak opened to 12,000 in middle position and Oliver Bithell three-bet to 40,000 in the small blind. Michalak responded with a four-bet jam worth 162,000 and Bithell gave it some thought before calling with a bigger stack.

Jakub Michalak: {a-Clubs}{k-Diamonds}
Oliver Bithell: {10-Spades}{10-Hearts}

Bithell's tens were still ahead after the {3-Diamonds}{2-Clubs}{7-Hearts} flop and on the {5-Clubs} turn, which gave Michalak a straight draw to go with his overcards. The river then brought the {4-Spades} to give him a wheel and he secured the double through a disappointed-looking Bithell.

Sow Shows Big Slick

Niveau 17 : Blinds 3,000/6,000, 6,000 ante

Marton Czuczor opened to 12,000 from early position before Kalidou Sow made it 40,000 from the small blind. Czuczor called.

Sow continued for 22,000 on the {q-Diamonds}{8-Clubs}{7-Spades} flop and was called. The {8-Diamonds} turn then checked through to the {7-Clubs} river.

Sow bet 56,000 and after some thinking time, his opponent folded.

Sow showed his {a-Diamonds}{k-Clubs} for ace-high.

"It's good," said Czuczor.

"I know," replied Sow.

Niveau 16 : Blinds 2,000/5,000, 5,000 ante
Neville Costa

Pedro Neves raised to 11,000, Mateus Endo reraised to 38,000 and Jenya Gavrilovich four-bet to 105,000 from the big blind. Neves folded and Mateus Endo called.

The flop came {6-Diamonds}{2-Hearts}{9-Diamonds}. Gavrilovich led for 82,000 and Endo called. By this point, the pot was already huge, worth more than the average stack.

On the turn of {10-Clubs}, Gavrilovich led again for a similar size of 78,000 and Endo called. The river came the {q-Hearts} and Gavrilovich switched to a check. Endo pushed all in for 332,000 and Gavrilovich, after using several time bank cards, made the fold.

The pot took Endo up to nearly 900,000 chips, which makes him the tournament chip leader.

Zoufri and Dattani Double Each Other Up

Niveau 16 : Blinds 2,000/5,000, 5,000 ante
Michel Dattani
Michel Dattani

2023 PCA Main Event winner Michel Dattani and Abdelhakim Zoufri were all in preflop following a raising war. Zoufri, in the big blind, was at risk with his last 336,000 chips, while Dattani, under the gun, narrowly covered him by 13,000.

Abdelhakim Zoufri: {a-Hearts}{a-Spades}
Michel Dattani: {a-}{k-}

The aces held on the {3-Clubs}{3-Spades}{4-Diamonds}{j-Spades}{q-Hearts} runout for Zoufri to take in the massive pot.

The very next hand, Zoufri put Dattani all in and the latter called for his tournament life. Dattani had the {9-Clubs}{7-Spades} while Zoufri was ahead with his {a-Clubs}{6-Spades}. Dattani managed to get the double-up as the board ran out with the {j-Hearts}{6-Hearts}{7-Diamonds}{5-Spades}{q-Clubs}.

Dattani then moved all in again in the following two hands but took in the pots uncontested.
