Another level has concluded and the final 11 players are now on a scheduled 15-minute break, during which the T-5,000 chips are being raced off. They are no longer required for the rest of the tournament, which is just two eliminations away from reaching the unofficial final table.
Luc Bindel shoved all in from middle position for 500,000 and Wagner Ripper shoved over the top of him for 1.5 million chips. Players flipped their cards.
Luc Bindel:
Wagner Ripper:
The board ran out to give Ripper the straight on the river and the double up. Bindel was eliminated in 11th place for €22,500.
Jon Kyte raised to 300,000 and then folded when Francesco Delfoco three-bet to 2,300,000 in the small blind with some 300,000 behind.
Kyte defended his big blind next against Antony Marchetti, who had opened to 350,000 in the cutoff. The flop was checked by Kyte and he came along once Marchetti bet 175,000. Kyte then led the turn for 350,000 but folded to a shove.
That sent the Norwegian back to just ten blinds and he limped the small blind next, Hugo Bohn checked his option in the big blind. Following a flop, Kyte bet 150,000 and Bohn raised to 375,000. A reraise to 600,000 by Kyte forced out Bohn.
Mohamed Mokrani raised from the button to 120,000 and Jeremie Zouari shoved all in for 1.2 million chips. Mokrani took his time and scratched his head before making the call. The cards were on their backs.
Jeremie Zouari:
Mohamed Mokrani:
The flop ran out and neither player improved. Mokrani's kicker played and he won the pot. Zouari was eliminated in 10th place and walked away with €22,500.
The final table bubble has now broken and just nine players remain.
For a full orbit of the table play hasn't reached the flop, most pots taken down with a single preflop raise or reraise. In the latest of those preflop situations, Hugo Machado made an early position raise to 300,000 and Wagner Ripper went all in for 2 million. Machado folded and Ripper scooped the pot.
When blinds go up, the average stack will be just 15 big blinds.
