Toni Kaukua opened his button for 3,000 chips and Steve O'Dwyer three-bet to 13,500 from the big blind. Kaukua asked after his opponent's stack and made a call after he received an answer.

The flop of 428 saw O'Dywer continue for 14,000 chips and Kaukua called once more. The 8 was then turned and O'Dwyer slowed down with a check.

Kaukua slammed in a pile of chips, enough to put O'Dwyer all-in for his stack of 57,000. O'Dwyer weighed his options for a bit but made the call before his shot clock ran out.

Steve O'Dwyer: AK
Toni Kaukua: 77

Kaukua was in front with two pair, and improved to a full house on the 7 river to send O'Dwyer to the exit.

Andersson Above Starting with Flop Raise

Niveau 3 : Blinds 1,000/1,500, 1,500 ante

Joakim Andersson opened to 3,500 from the button and was raised by Hirokazu Kobayashi to 12,000. The Swede made the call and it went to a flop.

It landed 535 and Kobayashi led out for 7,500. Andersson then raised it up to 26,000 and proceeded to stare at his opponent. Kobayashi seemed calm as he casually snacked on an ice cream before smoothly chucking out a time-bank card to give him an extra 30 seconds to act. The Japanese finished his Magnum before eventually throwing his cards into the muck.

Andersson scooped a sizeable pot that took his stack back above starting.

Okamura Avoids Complete Disaster in Cooler

Motoyoshi Okamura

Enrico Camosci opened 3,000 in the hijack, and Toni Kaukua called before Motoyoshi Okamura three-bet 11,000 on the button. Camosci folded, and Kaukua called.

The dealer fanned a flop of JJ8, and Kaukua check-called a bet of 7,000.

The 3 turn was checked through to see the 2 river. Kaukua led for 50,000, and Okamura only took a few seconds to call.

Kaukua tabled AJ, for trip jacks, ace-kicker, pipping Okamura's KJ.

"Wow, you checked the turn," said tablemate Fahredin Mustafov.

Toma Doubles Gutierrez; Takes Some Back the Next Hand

Niveau 2 : Blinds 500/1,000, 1,000 ante

Tsugunari Toma opened 2,000 under the gun before Elias Gutierrez three-bet jammed 11,000 next to act. The action quickly folded around to Toma as he joked "Four-bet", and dropped 30,000 across the line.

Elias Gutierrez: A9
Tsugunari Toma: 22

It was a flip, and both players missed the J55 flop. The A turn gave Gutierrez the best hand, and the 5 river sent the double his way.

Gutierrez Left With Few Chips

Niveau 2 : Blinds 500/1,000, 1,000 ante

Elias Gutierrez raised from the button and Hirokazu Kobayashi three-bet from the small blind. Gutierrez then four-bet jammed for 61,500, covering Kobayashi's stack. Kobayashi made the call, putting his tournament life at risk.

Hirokazu Kobayashi: A9
Elias Gutierrez: JJ

The 2K6 brought no trouble for Gutierrez, but the A river saw Kobayashi hit one of his three direct outs. No jack came on the 6 river to save Gutierrez, and he headed towards the exit of the tournament area.

The tournament floor called Gutierrez back as he still had 11,000 chips left, and he retook his seat with a chance to spin up his small stack.

Kobayashi Gets Value from Gutierrez

Niveau 2 : Blinds 500/1,000, 1,000 ante

Hirokazu Kobayashi was under the gun and opened to 2,500, getting two callers, Joakim Andersson on the button and Elias Gutierrez from the big blind.

All three checked the 8KA flop.

Anderson and Gutierrez checked the 2 turn before Kobayashi made it 3,000. Anderson instantly folded but Gutierrez stuck around and called.

The Spaniard again checked as the 2 river landed, but this time the Japanese made it 4,500. Gutierrez went deep into his 30 seconds allocated to make a decision and eventually made the call. Kobayashi turned over A5, having flopped top pair. Gutierrez double-tapped the table in appreciation as he mucked his hand.
