Kamatakis Doubles Paoli, Then Doubles Himself
Niveau 10
: Blinds 1,000/1,500, 1,500 ante
After some preflop raises, Jacques Paoli got his 63,500 chips in the middle from the hijack against Iliodoros Kamatakis in the small blind.
Jacques Paoli: A♥Q♣
Iliodoros Kamatakis: A♠K♦
Paoli was a big underdog but would become a favorite on the A♦Q♠10♠ flop. His hand remained best on the 8♥10♣ runout and he raked in his new stack very eagerly.
Meanwhile, Kamatakis was left with 15,000 chips, which he would get in not much later against Elias Suhonen.
Iliodoros Kamatakis: Q♠Q♦
Elias Suhonen: K♥Q♣
No king showed its face on the J♦J♠2♠3♣A♦ board, and Kamatakis doubled up to be right back in contention. This time it was Suhonen who was left very short, with less than one big blind.
