Kassouf Laments Loss

Niveau 7 : Blinds 500/1,000, 1,000 ante
Will Kassouf
Will Kassouf

When passing his table William Kassouf recounted to PokerNews how he lost most of his big stack.

According to Kassouf, a couple of levels ago, Paul Newey raised to 1,500 and Kassouf reraised to 5,100 from the button. Newey called and the pair saw a flop of QJ6. Newey check-called a 9,000 bet from Kassouf and the turn came the 7.

Newey checked again, after which Kassouf put in a large bet of 25,000. Newey then shoved all in for not much more and Kassouf called it off.

Paul Newey: 54
William Kassouf: KKx

Kassouf had a lead, but Newey had both straight and flush outs to hit. The diamond on the river completed his flush, and Newey chipped up massively while Kassouf's stack was left decimated.

Palevic Drags One

Niveau 6 : Blinds 400/800, 800 ante

With about 4,500 in the middle the turn read QJ5J, and Rifat Palevic check-called a bet of 1,800 from Philippe Souki.

The A fell on the river, and both players tapped the table. Palevic rolled his KQ face up, and that was good as Souki mucked his hand.

Jacques Paoli put in a raise of 2,000 from the cutoff, which Alexander Norden reraised to 6,100. The action folded back to Paoli, who called.

The 236 flop was then dealt and Paoli checked to Norden. Norden fired a bet of 3,500 and Paoli put in the same amount for a call.

Baran-Osinski Pays Off Mustafov

Niveau 6 : Blinds 400/800, 800 ante

The pot stood at 4,800 with two players looking at a folp of 610J.

Both Hubert Baran-Osinski, in the big blind, and Fahredin Mustafov, on the button, checked to see the A and J runout.

Baran-Osinski checked again and Mustafov bet out 2,000. Baran-Osinski made a quick call. Mustafov tabled 104, which was seemingly enough to lay claim to this pot.
