O’Neill Makes the Right Call
Padraig O'Neill opened to 100,000 from the hijack and was three-bet to 280,000 by Dejan Jakovljevic on the button. Action folded back around to O’Neill, who called.
O’Neill check-called a 160,000 bet from Jakovljevic on the 6♠3♦3♠ flop and a 380,000 barrel from Jakovljevic on the 7♠ turn.
The 2♦ completed the board and and O’Neill checked once more. Jakovljevic wasn’t done, however, and after using up two time extensions he fired 650,000 into the middle.
O’Neill counted out calling chips and used up a few time extensions himself as he pondered his decision. Eventually, he slid calling chips into the middle, which was met with an immediate muck from Jakovljevic.
O’Neill declined to show and he collected the large pot while Jakovljevic fell under a million in chips.
