Big Slick for Spragg and Rodin
Niveau 26
: Blinds 25,000/50,000, 50,000 ante
Marle Spragg woke up with A♠K♠ under the gun and opened to 100,000. Grigorii Rodin also had big slick A♦K♥ and three-bet to 275,000. Govert Metaal made a shrewd fold with A♣Q♣ from the big blind for the action to go back on Spragg, who jammed for 1,680,000. After using a time bank, Rodin called as the bigger stack.
The sweat-free board ran out with the Q♠Q♥3♥Q♦7♦, and the players chopped the pot. Metaal's face was a picture after the spoils were shared as he would have ended up with quads had he got in the mix.
