Guyon Makes Helou Fold on the River

Niveau 20 : Blinds 6,000/12,000, 12,000 ante

Mark Helou opened to 25,000 from under the gun, then everybody folded to Adrien Guyon who defended from the big blind.

Helou continued with a bet of 25,000 on the JK10 flop, and Guyon check-called. But the French player led out on the turn A with a bet of 25,000. Helou made the call.

The 7 came on the river, and Guyon threw 105,000 in front of him. Helou looked at the board one last time, and folded.

Adria Diaz: JJ
Omar Eljach: 96

Diaz was ahead with his pair of jacks against Eljach's nines as the board ran out 7Q, keeping him in the lead and earning him a double up.

Straight Flush over Nut Flush for Lupuleac

Niveau 19 : Blinds 5,000/10,000, 10,000 ante
Alexandru Lupuleac
Alexandru Lupuleac

Alexandru Lupuleac opened to 20,000 from the hijack, and Marle Spragg defended from the big blind.

On the 4J3 flop, Lupuleac continued with a bet of 15,000, then fired a second barrel of 42,000 on the turn 10. Both times, Spragg check-called.

The Q completed the board, and Lupuleac had to use a time bank card to bet 110,000. A few seconds later, Spragg moved all-in with the biggest stack, and Lupuleac snap-called with his last 317,000 chips.

Alexandru Lupuleac: 98
Marle Spragg: A10

"Oh, wow," said Spragg when she saw that her flush was beaten by Lupuleac's straight flush. Even after this hand, Spragg still has more than one million chips.

Straight Versus Straight on the Flop

Niveau 19 : Blinds 5,000/10,000, 10,000 ante

Adrien Guyon opened to 20,000 from under the gun, and was called by Marco Regonaschi on the button and Andraz Gognjavec in the big blind.

The 10AQ flop proved to be very eventful, but the action started with Guyon checking. Andraz Gognjavec then made it 55,000, before Marco Regonaschi raised to 105,000 and Guyon quickly got away. Regonaschi thought momentarily before shoving and Gognjavec snap-called.

Andraz Gognjavec: KJ
Marco Regonaschi: KJ

Remarkably, both players had flopped a Broadway and with neither player carrying a diamond, there were no backdoor flush possibilities and the pot was going to be split.

A 7 turn landed, with both players seeming somewhat disappointed at the prospect of a chopped pot.

An inconsequential Q hit on the river and officially denied a crucial double up for either player, leaving them both below half of the average stack.

O'Dwyer Gets Paid in Massive Blind Battle

Niveau 19 : Blinds 5,000/10,000, 10,000 ante

Around 135,000 was already in the middle as Steve O'Dwyer and Daniel Erlandsson went heads-up to the turn in a blind versus blind confrontation with the board showing 5K5Q.

O'Dwyer had built up such a towering stack of chips he had to reach nearly above his head to grab the blue 5,000 chips at the top as he bet 60,000. Erlandsson called and the 4 fell on the river.

Erlandsson checked to O'Dwyer who bet another 180,000. Erlandsson again called and O'Dwyer showed K8 for a rivered flush to win the pot and climb above 2,000,000.
