The 2024 Irish Open Main Event Champion, Tero Laurila, three-bet to 25,000 from the cutoff, which folded out the button and the blinds. Paparo called ahead of De Sousa returning his cards to the dealer.
On the A♦J♣8♦ flop, Paparo check-raised to 30,000 over a bet of 15,000. Laurila quickly moved all in as the bigger stack, and Paparo called off the 40,000 more he had behind.
