Queens vs Queens vs Aces; Noran Gets Away
Niveau 16
: Blinds 2,500/5,000, 5,000 ante
Thomas Haverstad opened 11,000 under the gun and Argyrios Mitakidis shoved 68,000 from a couple of spots to his left. Seeiar Noran was in the small blind and cold called before Haverstad put him to the test for all of his chips. After a tanking for sometime, Noran mucked his Q♣Q♠ face-up.
Argyrios Mitakidis: Q♥Q♦
Thomas Haverstad: A♥A♣
It was bad news for Mitakidis as he saw there were no queens left in the deck. The A♠K♦5♣ flop improved Haverstad to top set, leaving Mitakidis needing runner-runner. The 3♥ sealed his fate as he stood up from the table and the 5♥ river was just a formality.
