Action folded to Paolo Santagati in the small blind, and he raised to 2,200. Theodoros Ampelikiotis three-bet to 6,600 from the big blind and called off his stack of around 35,000 when Santagati four-bet jammed as the bigger stack.
Theodoros Ampelikiotis: QxQx
Paolo Santagati: AxAx
Santagati's aces remained best and he scooped in the pot after the board ran out with the 7♣5♣7♠4♦4♠.
Erico Iervasi opened under the gun to 1,200 and was called by three players before Emanvel Hovhannisyan squeezed out of the big blind to 5,500. Iervasi made the call but the other players folded.
The two players saw a flop of Q♦J♣10♦. Hovhannisyan bet out for 5,500 and Iervasi immediately shoved all in for 21,000. Hovhannisyan put in the call and the cards were revealed.
Erico Iervasi: 8♦7♦
Emanvel Hovhannisyan: A♣Q♥
Iervasi couldn't hit any of the outs he needed to win as the 2♥ came on the turn, followed by the 10♠ on the river. Hovhannisyan's pair of queens would win the pot and eliminate Iervasi.
Joao Sydenstricker raised to 600 from the cutoff. Hans Rasmussen called on the button before Jörg Schneegaß squeezed out of the big blind to 3,500. Sydenstricker called, but Rasmussen back-raised to 14,500. Schneegaß shoved for roughly 30,000 which only Rasmussen called.
Hans Rasmussen: K♣K♠
Jörg Schneegaß: Q♠Q♦
The flop of 10♦K♥9♠ kept Rasmussen ahead with top set, but it did provide Schneegaß with a straight draw. The 4♣ turn and 9♣ river improved Rasmussen to a full house, earning him a double up. Schneegaß was left with just 500 chips and was eliminated in the next hand.
Action was caught on the turn, with around 9,000 in the pot on the 10♥9♣2♦6♦ board. Artyom Smbatyan bet 3,500 from the big blind and was called by Michal Schuh from under the gun. Andrii Shestakov made it 12,000 from the next seat over, which folded out Adrian Andritz in the hijack.
Smbatyan moved all in for a few thousand more, forcing Schuh to release his hand. Shestakov put in the extra calling chips and the hands were tabled.
Artyom Smbatyan: Jx9x
Andrii Shestakov: 8♥7♥
Smbatyan, who didn't have a flush draw, was drawing dead ahead of the 3♥ river, completing the runout. Shestakov took in the pot and sent Smbatyan to the reentry desk.
Pedro Gines opened to 300 from under the gun before Gaetano Fiore three-bet to 1,200 from the button. The blinds got out of the way and then Gines reraised to 3,300. Fiore thought for a few moments before calling.
Gines continued for 2,100 on the A♠K♣J♣ flop and was called. Gines then slowed down with a check on the 10♠ turn. Fiore fired out 4,500, sending Gines into the tank. The Spaniard took his time before reaching for his chips, he then steadied himself and continued to mull over his options. Gines finally settled on a raise, making it 13,000, and he snap-called for the 12,600 more he had behind after Fiore three-bet jammed as the slightly bigger stack.
Pedro Gines: Q♣Q♥
Gaetano Fiore: A♥10♣
Gines had Broadway, while Fiore's two pair needed to improve to a full house. The K♠ paired the board, but not in the way Fiore required and he was reduced to fumes.
A few hands later, Fiore was all-in and at risk to Matthias Huebl.
Gaetano Fiore: K♦8♦
Matthias Huebl: A♦Q♦
Huebl paired up on the A♥10♦2♠ flop and improved to a boat after the Q♠ turn and Q♣ river to secure the first elimination of the day.
