In the last hand of the previous level, Youssef Zereg opened to 2,000 from under the gun and was called by Karol Taki from the next seat over. Action folded to Giovanni Grosso in the small blind and he moved all in for around 9,000. Zereg reshoved for 11,800 and Taki, who was the much bigger stack, appeared to make a reluctant call.

Karim Kaladjou opened 2,500 in early postion and received calls from Samir Dahdir in the cutoff, Neil Rogers in the small blind as well as Niall Murray in the big blind.

When the K♠10♠2♥ flop hit the felt, Rogers led for 6,000. Murray folded before Kaladjou clicked it to 12,000. Dahdir got out of the way and Rogers announced all-in. Kaladjou had 27,000 total and wasted no time making the call.

The action checked to Pedro Gines in the cutoff who bet 1,800. In the small blind, Tomas Bassus jammed for 11,100 and it quickly folded back to Gines who went deep into the tank. After over two minutes of thinking, Gines flicked in a chip to call and the cards were revealed.

In the cutoff, Juan Oliva decided to jam for 24,000. Wisniewski went deep into the tank as he had to make a decision for his tournament life as the smaller of the stacks. He eventually opted to call all-in while Asaro quickly got out of the way.

Rogers led out for 3,000 on the 10♦9♥2♣ flop, folding out Karim and Krementsukov. Gaerke moved all in as the bigger stack and Rogers called off the 12,600 more he had behind.
