Gergo Nagy avait commencé la journée avec le deuxième plus petit tapis parmi les quinze joueurs joueurs restants, et il était même tombé à quatre blindes au moment de former la table finale. Pourtant, c'est bien lui qui a réussi à déjouer les pronostics et à renverser Patrick Kennedy en heads-up. Il remporte ainsi son premier pique PokerStars et le premier prix de 268 600€.

Seuls 15 joueurs sur un total de 106 participants ont réussi à se qualifier pour pour la deuxième et dernière journée, où tous les joueurs étaient assurés d'un gain minimum de 17 800€. Theo Jorgensen fut le premier à être éliminé après avoir être tombé contre le vainqueur de la Triple Crown Mike Watson. Jorgensen fut rapidement suivi par d'autres petits tapis, comme ceux d'Alexander Petersen, Yuriy Boyko, et Tor Ivarsson, dans une rafale d'éliminations précoces.
Le spécialiste d'Omaha et vainqueur du High Roller de l'EPT Barcelone l'an dernier Ka Kwan Lau avait commencé la journée avec le deuxième plus gros tapis, tandis que Kennedy, futur finaliste, était en tête. Les deux joueurs ont pris des trajectoires opposées dès le début : Kennedy semblait ne pas pouvoir perdre un seul pot, tandis que Lau perdait progressivement des jetons tout au long de la journée. Il a finalement été éliminé à la onzième place dans un pot à quatre. De quoi permettre à Kennedy d'avoir plus du double des jetons de ses adversaires restants alors qu'il ne restait que dix joueurs. Samuel Albeck fut ensuite éliminé à la dixième place peu après, formant ainsi la table finale à neuf joueurs.
Il y avait une énorme disparité de tapis au début de la table finale. D'un côté, Kennedy détenait plus d'un tiers des jetons restants avec neuf joueurs, et de l'autre, cinq joueurs avaient 15 blindes ou moins. Kennedy semblait prêt à réaliser une double élimination dès l'une des premières mains de la table finale, après avoir floppé un tirage couleur et obtenu un tirage quinte à la turn contre deux adversaires. Sauf qu'un neuf miraculeux sur la rivière a donné à Youness Barakat la même quinte que Kennedy, lui permettant de rester dans la course tandis que Christopher Philippou devenait la première victime de la table finale.
Nagy, qui avait survécu discrètement avec son petit tapis pendant toute la journée, a commencé sa remontée avec huit joueurs restants. D'abord, il a doublé face à Jorryt van Hoof dans un affrontement préflop, avec ses dames qui ont tenu contre les valets de Van Hoof. Ce dernier a été éliminé peu après, laissant Nagy prendre de l'élan. Ensuite, il a pris une part importante du tapis de Mark Buckley sans aller jusqu'au showdown. Peu après, il a battu les as de Kennedy avec un brelan de neuf, doublant ainsi encore une fois. En l'espace d'une heure, Nagy, qui avait commencé la table finale avec seulement quatre big blinds, se retrouvait en tête du tournoi.
Watson, qui avait commencé la journée avec le troisième plus gros tapis, était toujours troisième en jetons à l'entame de la table finale. Peu après l'élimination de Buckley en septième position, la montée en puissance de Watson a été brutalement interrompue contre Nagy , provoquant la sortie du légendaire joueur canadien à la sixième place. Deux mains plus tard, Slade Fisher et Barakat, constamment en bas du classement, ont été éliminés en cinquième et quatrième positions, respectivement.
Le prodige du poker en ligne Henri Puustinen, aussi connu sous le pseudo "buttonclickr", a fait preuve d'une grande habileté malgré un petit tapis, doublant plusieurs fois pour se hisser parmi les trois derniers. Gergo Nagy had been gradually whittling Patrick Kennedy down in heads-up play, winning most of the hands that saw a flop and leveraging his chip lead.
Nagy again potted it from the button to 240,000 and Kennedy moved all in from the big blind for around 1,000,000, with Nagy making the call, saying "Let's do it".

Kennedy was ahead and the K♣9♠4♠ flop gave him top pair kings, while also giving Nagy a flush draw.
The 9♦ turn was a brick, but the 5♠ rolled off on the river to give Nagy the queen-high flush and the title, putting an end to an interesting heads-up battle.
The players shook hands and Nagy celebrated with his rail.

Both players checked the 5♦4♠2♠ flop leading to the 7♥ turn. Kennedy bet 125,000 and Nagy raised to 350,000. Kennedy made the call.
On the 9♦ river Kennedy checked and Nagy bet 900,000. Kennedy, with a pained expression on his face, made the call and showed 8♣5♣5♠2♥ for a set of fives. Nagy had him beat with J♦9♣8♠6♦ for a straight to take down a massive pot and reclaim the chip lead from Kennedy.

Puustinen was in very good shape to double up preflop but that all changed when the K♥9♥2♥ flop gave Kennedy a flush leaving Puustinen drawing only to running quads or a full house. The 7♣ turn confirmed Puustinen's elimination and after the J♦ river he made his exit while Kennedy took the last of his chips.
