Petrangelo Eliminates Antonius and Mokri

Niveau 11 : Blinds 2,000/5,000, 5,000 ante
Nick Petrangelo

After Kayhan Mokri moved all in for 43,000 under the gun, Patrik Antonius did likewise from the button for 94,000. Nick Petrangelo then moved in as well, covering both from the small blind.

Kayhan Mokri: KQAll in
Patrik Antonius: 55All in
Nick Petrangelo: 88

The flop came J107 giving Mokri a great chance to triple up as he had an open-ended straight draw along with two overs.

"How can I lose?" Wednesday's €20,000 No-Limit Hold'em single-day event champion wondered.

He soon found out as the 2 turn and 3 river brought him no further help as Petrangelo's eights held up to score the double elimination.

With the field under 24 players, the tournament is down to three tables, but with the new EPT rules, no redraw took place — players were just moved to new tables from one that was broken.

Niveau 11 : Blinds 2,000/5,000, 5,000 ante

Picking up the action on a flop of KA7, Jean-Noel Thorel checked from the small blind to Ottomar Ladva in the big blind.

Ladva then made a bet of 10,000 into a pot of 45,000, and Thorel put in the same amount for a calll.

Ladva sized up to 25,000 on the 8 turn, but this time Thorel check-folded as Ladva crossed six figures once more.

After Sean Winter limped from the cutoff, Patrik Antonius completed his small blind. Nick Petrangelo then made it 25,000 from the big blind, which only got a call from Winter.

The flop came 1052 and a bet of 14,000 from Petrangelo was enough to shed Winter and take the pot.

Kaverman Extends Lead

Niveau 11 : Blinds 2,000/5,000, 5,000 ante

Byron Kaverman made the minimum raise to 10,000 in middle position and was three-bet to 40,000 by Jean-Noel Thorel in the small blind. Kaverman called to see the Q83 flop, on which he called Thorel's bet of 50,000.

Both players then checked the 2 turn before Thorel checked again on the 10 river. Kaverman bet 35,000, which was enough to let Thorel lay his hand down.

Ladev Crosses Half a Million

Niveau 11 : Blinds 2,000/5,000, 5,000 ante

Markkos Ladev kicked things off with a raise to 10,000 from the hijack. Patrik Antonius came along on the button before Nick Petrangelo pumped it up to 36,000 in the small blind.

The action folded back to Ladev, who used one time bank before putting in all the chips with a four-bet shove. He covered both other players, and they quickly mucked their cards to award the pot to Ladev.
