Boris Angelov Eliminated in 7th Place (€82,800)
Boris Angelov raised to 110,000 from the button and Patrik Antonius moved all in for 715,000. Angelov called with only slightly more and players flipped their cards.
Patrik Antonius: K♣10♣
Boris Angelov: 9♣9♠
The board ran out 6♠9♥Q♠8♦7♦ and gave Angelov a set of nines on the flop. Antonius picked up backdoor draws on the turn and completed his straight on the river to double his stack, leaving Angelov with just 10,000 chips.
The next hand, Angelov put his last 10,000 in the middle and Jean-Noel Thorel raised to 100,000 from the button, which Antonius called in the big blind.
The flop came 9♠7♥6♠ and Thorel bet 100,000, which Antonius called. Thorel fired again on the 5♣ turn for 300,000 and Antonius called again. The river was the 3♦ and Thorel pushed out a stack of 500,000. Antonius called and players turned their cards.
Angelov had A♥10♦ for ace high, Antonius had A♣9♣ for a pair of nines, and Thorel flipped 10♥8♥ for a flopped straight. He stacked up even further, taking a chunk from Antonius and eliminating Angelov in seventh place for €82,800.
