Schwippert Takes Five-Way Pot
Niveau 18
: Blinds 4,000/8,000, 8,000 ante
In one of the last hands of the night, Jan Eric Schwippert opened to 16,000 with K♥10♥ from an early position and got a call from Aleksei Savenkov in the hijack with 4♠4♣. Marcin Baranski folded K♠J♥ from the cutoff and Lauri Varonen called 7♦7♣ on the button. Haoran Cai also made a call from the small blind with Q♠10♠ and Timothy Chung defended 6♦5♦ from the big blind, taking the play five-ways to the flop.
The dealer flopped J♣10♣J♦ giving Schwippert a strong lead. Play checked through all five players, taking them to a 8♣ turn.
Action checked around the table again to the 3♠ river. No further bets were made and Schwippert took the pot with two pair.
