Pertea thought briefly before calling. Kovalski fired out another 400,000 on the 5♦ turn, and Pertea continued to stick around. The 9♣ completed the board, and Kovalski used up a time bank before sliding 1,275,000 into the middle. Pertea rechecked his hand one last time before letting it go.
