Mas Doubles in Bubble Four-Bet Pot

After a raise to 8,000, Theo Degrave three-bet to 20,000 on the button. Oscar Mas then made it 55,000 to go in the small blind. The initial raiser folded before Degrave tossed in a call.

Mas took a few minutes before checking the 10Q6 flop, after which Degrave quickly followed. Mas checked again on the 2 turn, this time seeing a bet of 42,000 from his opponent.

Mas called to the K river, where he checked for a third time. Degrave then shoved all in, covering the 155,000 of Mas. Mas went in the tank for several minutes before finally sticking in a call, putting himself at risk of becoming the bubble boy.

Once all the other tables had finished playing, Mas turned over KK for a rivered set of kings, besting the set of queens of Degrave, who showed QQ.

Mas doubled up to more than double the average stack, leaving Degrave with 20 big blinds.

Escote Calls Down Seire

Heads-up on a board of 4365, Casimir Seire bet 12,000 from the hijack. Sergi Escote was in the big blind and tanked for a minute before calling.

The river was the 8 and Seire bet another 37,000. Escote quickly called this time and Seire showed 86 for two pair. Escote, though, had 107 for a straight to win the pot.

Mark Teltscher opened from early position to 8,000 and the Day 1b chip leader Jeremie Zouari shoved for 34,000. Once it got back to Teltscher, he started talking with Zouari.

"You must have aces or kings, it's the bubble," remarked Teltscher.

"What do you want me to do?" Teltscher asked.

After some more table talk, Teltscher announced a fold and Zouari then showed AQ as he raked in the pot.

"I'd have folded that. If you fold there you make the money," Teltscher finished with.

Moene Sends Barer into the Tank

Jelle Moene opened to 9,000 from the button with K8 and Ami Barer defended A5 from the big blind.

The flop came KK5 giving Barer two pair and Moene trip kings.

Barer checked and Moene bet 5,000, which got a quick call from Barer.

The 4 was checked by Barer and Moene bet 11,000. Barer made the call but was drawing dead.

Barer checked the Q river, with Moene betting 54,000. Barer went into the tank, and asked "there are other hands going right?" checking the status of the hand for hand play. Barer eventually folded, passing the pot to Moene.

Raymond Doubles His Short Stack
