Alioto Makes Heroic River Call in Multiway Pot

Niveau 18 : Blinds 4,000/8,000, 8,000 ante
Piero Alioto
Piero Alioto

Raoul Kanme open raised to 16,000 from early position, Dean Lyall called, Stephen Song called on the button, Yves Bianchetti called in the small blind, and Piero Alioto called in the big blind to make for a five way pot.

The flop came 597 and action checked to Lyall, who made it 22,000 to go. All four of his opponents made the call and went to the turn, which was the 3. Bianchetti then opted to make a big lead of 65,000. That thinned out the pot a little, as only Alioto and Kanme called the bet.

The river was the K and both Bianchetti and Alioto checked. Kanme put out a bet of 250,000 and Bianchetti folded. Alioto went into the tank and used two of his time bank cards before pushing his chips into the middle in defiance.

Kanme flipped over A8 for a missed draw. Alioto turned over 96 for a pair of nines, which was enough to win the pot. The heroic river call gained Alioto a huge stack of chips during the last level of play.

Schwippert Cracks Savenkov's Aces

Niveau 18 : Blinds 4,000/8,000, 8,000 ante

Jan Eric Schwippert opened to 16,000 with AK from under the gun and Aleksei Savenkov three-bet to 52,000 with AA. Schwippert called.

The 6105 flop got a check from both players, taking them to a 3 turn, which brought a flush draw for Schwippert. Both players checked again, and the river was the 4, which completed the flush for Schwippert.

Schwippert bet 27,000 and Savenkov called. Savenkov quickly mucked his aces after seeing Schwippert had gotten there with the flush.

Mistake Proves Fatal For Spragg

Niveau 18 : Blinds 4,000/8,000, 8,000 ante
Marle Spragg
Marle Spragg

Marle Spragg's table just broke and she was moved to Alexander Seibt and Jack Kiriakus' table, taking Seat 1.

"Welcome to the California hotel," Kiriakus said to her.

Spragg was in the big blind the first hand and defended when button Boris Kuzmanovic raised to 19,000. Kuzmanovic continued for 10,000 on the A108 flop and Spragg quickly folded.

Darius Neagoe then arrived at the table and said he was supposed to be in Seat 1. Spragg then noticed she was actually in Seat 3, and the tournament floor ruled she had to move and pay the big blind again the next hand.

"Are you the same lady as before?" Kiriakus asked.

"Were you not just listening to anything that just happened?" Seibt replied.

Action then folded to Seibt who moved all in from the small blind as Spragg called for her last 35,000.

Marle Spragg: Q3 All in
Alexander Seibt: 87

The 543 flop gave Seibt straight and flush draws, and he hit his flush on the J turn to leave Spragg drawing dead before the 2 river and on her way to the payout desk.

"I take my lessons from Jack," Seibt said after the hand.

Allan Barnes was also recently eliminated from this table, while Kiriakus is up to 1,300,000.

Signoriello Shows Colomina

Niveau 18 : Blinds 4,000/8,000, 8,000 ante

In a blind-on-blind pot, Adria Colomina checked to Alessandro Signoriello on a flop of 899. Signoriello then made a bet of 16,000 into the pot of 50,000. Colomina raised to 50,000 and Signoriello called.

The 5 fell on the turn and saw Colomina revert to a check. Signoriello put in 35,000 chips, leading to a quick fold from Colomina.

Singoriello raked in the pot and showed Q7. "That's nearly a straight flush," Eero Rantala dryly remarked.

Not much later, Colomina was seen exiting the tournament area as he had lost the rest of his chips as well.

Lauri Varonen
Lauri Varonen

Lauri Varonen limped in from the small blind and Jack Sinclair checked his option in the big blind.

A flop of K103 saw Varonen bet 10,000, which Sinclair called.

The 5 turn drew another bet from Varonen, this time with a sizing of 30,000. Once again, Sinclair called.

On the 6 river, Varonen gathered chips from his stack and put a bet of 82,000 into the pot, which sent Sinclair into the tank. After using a time extension, Sinclair tossed a chip into the pot to signify a call.

Varonen flipped K2 for a pair of kings, and Sinclair mucked.

Kiriakus In It to Win It

Niveau 18 : Blinds 4,000/8,000, 8,000 ante
Jack Kiriakus
Jack Kiriakus

Jack Kiriakus raised to 16,000 in middle position before Valeriano Toledano moved all in for 140,000 in the hijack. Kiriakus stood up from his seat and leaned over the table as he considered the decision. "If you don't get in, you can't win," he said as he eventually called.

Valeriano Toledano: 44 All in
Jack Kiriakus: AQ

"This guy came to win a tournament. No min-cashing for him," tablemate Alexander Seibt said about Kiriakus when the cards were revealed. Toledano remained in the lead through the turn on a board of 757J, but Kiriakus spiked the A on the river to win the pot and send Toledano to the rail.

"You're stealing the show. You have no idea how good this is for poker. If you had your own YouTube show," Seibt told him.

"You'll probably be the thumbnail tomorrow," another tablemate added.

Dehli was looking to improve to stay alive but the 7Q235 runout wasn't enough to save him. Chung came out of the hand with more than a million chips and became the table chip leader.

Torelli Snap-Folds to Kils River Shove

Niveau 18 : Blinds 4,000/8,000, 8,000 ante
Alec Torelli
Alec Torelli

Fabiano Kovalski opened to 16,000 from under the gun and Michael Kil called from the next seat. Alec Torelli was in the big blind and also called.

On the 8104 flop, Torelli checked then Kovalski bet 18,000. Both Kil and Torelli called.

A J on the turn brought in the front door flush draw and Torelli, with one second left of his 30-second countdown, announced a bet of 55,000. Kovalski folded, and Kil called.

The 4 completed the board and Torelli thought for a while before he checked. Kil used some extra time before he announced that he was all in, which put Torelli to the test for his remaining stack of around 135,000. However, the test took less than a second as Torelli quickly slid his cards into the middle of the table and folded.
