Maris Makes a Reluctant Call
Niveau 14
: Blinds 1,500/3,000, 3,000 ante
Andriy Berezyak moved all in for 24,000 in early position. Calin Maris, in the big blind, thought for a considerable amount of time before finally making the call.
Andriy Berezyak: 2♦2♥
Calin Maris: A♦J♣
The 2♣ in the window was a promising sign for Berezyak, but the 4♣3♦ that followed gave Maris a straight draw. The 6♦ turn gave outs to a chop, but the 10♠ river saw Berezyak's set best and he doubled up.
