Saraniero Lays Down a Monster
Niveau 7
: Blinds 400/800, 800 ante
Chrysostomos Christofi raised to 1,600 from the cutoff, Riccardo Saraniero three-bet to 7,500 from the big blind and Christofi called.
Saraniero continued for 3,500 on the 8♣A♣9♥ flop. Christofi called.
The J♠ slowed down Saraniero as he checked and then called a bet of 5,600 from Christofi.
The A♠ river saw Saraniero play in flow. Christofi bet 15,000, enough to put Saraniero all in, sending him deep into the tank.
Saraniero thought for so long the clock was called, finally making him fold his hand in the last few seconds of his countdown. Saraniero conceded the pot as he folded the A♥K♠ face up, having rivered trips.
