Stausholm Cracks Georgescu
Niveau 19
: Blinds 5,000/10,000, 10,000 ante
Martin Stausholm opened to 20,000 from middle position, and received calls from Andre Marquardt on the button and Georgian Georgescu in the big blind.
On the Q♦Q♥4♠ flop, Georgescu checked, and Stausholm fired out a bet of 20,000. Only Georgescu called.
The 3♦ rolled off on the turn, and Georgescu check-jammed to 75,000 over a bet of 25,000 from Stausholm, who made the quick call.
Georgian Georgescu: 5♦5♥
Martin Stausholm: J♠J♣
Georgescu was drawing to two outs versus the better two pair, and the 6♠ river confirmed his departure.
