Stankov Doubles Through Winz
Niveau 11
: Blinds 1,000/1,500, 1,500 ante
There were around 25,000 chips in the pot on a flop of 9♣4♠5♣ when Berthold Winz checked, and Ivan Stankov bet 11,000. Winz then shoved, and Stankov snap-called his stack of just under 50,000.
Ivan Stankov: Q♠Q♣
Berthold Winz: A♥7♥
Winz had been caught bluffing, but did have outs as any ace would see him propel into the lead. However, no ace appeared as the runout of J♥9♥ kept Stankov's pocket queens in the lead, and he doubled up.
