Santhosh Suvarna
Santhosh Suvarna

Santhosh Suvarna raised from early position and Satish Sanan called in the hijack. Felipe Ketzer also called from the big blind.

On the flop of 1037, Ketzer checked and Suvarna bet 8,000. Both Sanan and Ketzer called.

Ketzer then led out for 9,000 on the 3 turn, which was called by both Suvarna and Sanan.

When the K hit the river, Ketzer checked and Suvarna fired 36,000. Sanan snap-called, and Ketzer laughed to himself before he folded.

Suvarna showed A3 for trips, and Sanan's K7 went into the muck.

Gutierrez Makes the Right Check-Back Against Song

Elias Gutierrez
Elias Gutierrez

In a pot that had around 30,000 in the middle on a flop of 838, action was picked up with Stephen Song checking from under the gun and Elias Gutierrez firing a bet of 15,000 on the button. Song called.

A Q dropped on the turn and after Song checked, Gutierrez bet 30,000. Song took his time, but eventually called.

The 5 completed the board on the river and Song checked for a third time. Gutierrez used some extra time before he knuckled back.

Song showed AQ for a pair of queens, and Gutierrez mucked.

"I wasn't folding," said Song.

"It would have been on camera too, I would have snap-called," he added in reference to the TV crew recording the action.

Lin Uses All Time-Banks, Comes to Wrong Conclusion

Jianwei Lin
Jianwei Lin

Masashi Oya had opened the cutoff and Jianwei Lin three-bet from the small blind before Oya four-bet to 33,000. Lin called.

They went to a flop of 76Q where Lin check-called a bet of 18,000 from Oya to the 4 turn, which went check-check.

A 10 dropped on the river and Lin fired 35,000, leaving himself around 40,000 behind. Oya then shoved, which sent Lin deep into the tank. After using all five of his time-bank cards, Lin eventually tossed in the call, which left him at risk.

Oya flipped 98 for the nut straight, and Lin was forced to show he made the call with KQ for top pair, which meant he was eliminated.
