Aces Help Rantala to Double
Niveau 5
: Blinds 300/600, 600 ante
With around 11,000 in the middle on a board of 4♦10♥Q♠, Cosmin-Ionut Nica bet 6,000 from the small blind and Juhani Rantala called from middle position.
When the 5♥ hit the turn, Nica bet 12,000 which was enough to put Rantala all-in. Rantala snap-called.
Juhani Rantala: A♠A♥
Cosmin-Ionut Nica: 8♦7♦
Rantala was way ahead with aces but had to avoid Nica's gutshot straight draw. A safe 9♦ hit the river and Rantala had doubled.
