Kaggerud Doubles Through Rau
Niveau 6
: Blinds 400/800, 800 ante
Robert Kaggerud raised to 1,600 from the cutoff and Eduard Rau three-bet to 4,000 out of the small blind. Kaggerud called.
Rau put out a continuation bet of 2,500 on the 4♥6♥J♣ flop and Kaggerud shoved for 8,700. Rau seemed not to like it, but he made the call to put Kaggerud at risk.
Robert Kaggerud: 9♥9♣
Eduard Rau: A♠K♥
Rau needed to find and ace or king to send Kaggerud to the rail. However, the rest of the board ran out 4♦8♥ and Kaggerud had doubled up to almost the starting stack.
