A modest pot of 2,700 was in the middle between Majid Ejlal Noubarian in the small blind and Dmitrii Sukhorukov in the big blind. On a completed board of 4♦9♥J♦6♦2♣, Noubarian bet 3,000 and sent his neighbor into the tank.
Eventually, Sukhorukov tossed in a call. Noubarian tabled Q♦5♦ for a flush, taking down the pot.
Meanwhile, Valentin Tufan had already nearly tripled his starting stack.
At the newest table of the tournament, Yunkyu Song in the cutoff and Aleksandr Pustovoi on the button had created a pot of 17,000 preflop.
Song then fired bets of 2,400 on the A♠A♣5♦ flop and 3,600 on the 3♣ turn, being called by Pustovoi both times.
On the 2♣ river, he jammed all in, covering Pustovoi's stack of 11,500. Pustovoi quickly called off, prompting Song to table K♣Q♠ for king-high.
Pustovoi had called down with A♦Q♥, and his trip aces won him the pot as he doubled up.

Malcolm McKinlay had raised to 1,000 from early position, which Jacques Der Megreditchian called on the button. Kamil Dobosz then three-bet to 4,500, which only McKinlay called.
Dobosz continued for 2,600 on the 6♣7♠5♦ flop, being called by McKinlay. On the J♠ turn, Dobosz slowed down and checked. McKinlay piled in 15,000, getting a quick fold from Dobosz.
Also on this table was Iurii Saiapin, who more than doubled his starting stack after getting most of the eliminated Tom Talboom's chips.
Yassin Mahmoud had opened preflop in middle position and had been called by Ahmed Abdellatif on the button. Big blind Mikhail Katykhin then three-bet to 3,600, which both players called.
Katykhin checked the 7♥4♥J♣ flop before Mahmoud followed suit. Abdellatif bet 5,800, Katykhin mucked, and Mahmoud called.
The 6♣ turn was knuckled by both players, after which Mahmoud promptly jammed the 2♣ river, covering the 17,500 chips of his opponent.
Abdellatif decided not to risk it and folded his cards, seeing the large pot being sent to Mahmoud.

Kirill Beutler raised to the minimum of 600 under the gun. Georgios Tsouloftas made it 1,800 to go in middle position before Piotr Wiecek cold-called in the hijack.
The action folded back to Beutler, who quickly tossed in a reraise to 7,200. Tsouloftas made a swift fold and Wiecek followed suit to ship the pot to Beutler.
Meanwhile, the biggest stack on the table was Walid Bou Habib, who had already added 50 big blinds to his starting stack.
Georges Azar checked from the small blind on a turn of K♣4♦2♦4♣. Tjan Tepeh then threw in a bet of 4,000 in the cutoff, which Azar called.
The 3♥ river saw Azar tank for a minute or so before checking, after which Tepeh quickly checked behind. Azar reluctantly showed J♦8♦ for a missed flush draw, seeing Tepeh take the pot with K♠J♣ for top pair.
