Mateos Wins on the River With Queen-High
Niveau 5
: Blinds 1,000/2,000, 2,000 ante
Adrian Mateos opened from the cutoff to 4,000 with Vladimir Korzinin calling on the button and Atanas Malinov defending from the big blind.
Mateos bet 5,000 on the K♥8♠10♠ flop, which only Korzinin called.
The 6♥ came on the turn and Mateos check-called a bet of 13,000 from Korzinin.
Both players checked the 4♥ river and Mateos turned over Q♠3♠ for a busted flush draw with just queen-high. Much to the amusement of the table, he took down the pot as Korzinin showed J♣9♥ for a missed straight draw and jack-high.
