The flop 9♣6♠J♠ gave Paunescu a straight draw. However, the 2♦ turn and 6♥ river changed nothing and Wei doubled up.
Boris Kolev raised to 240,000 from the button and Guo Liang Wei called in the big blind.
The flop came 10♠Q♣8♦ and Wei checked. Kolev bet 300,000 and Wei folded to leave himself with less than one million chips.
One of the most entertaining shows in poker is stepping it up a notch as PokerStars announced that the next season of Big Game on Tour will feature four-time Super Bowl champion and NFL star Rob "Gronk" Gronkowski.
Gronkowski, who spent 11 seasons as a tight end in the NFL and is now a sports analyst, will compete on the upcoming The Big Game on Tour season alongside the pros, Loose Cannons and sports media personality Nick Wright, whose appearance was also confirmed on Thursday.

With play slowing down, the remaining finalists are only trading small blows that result in raise-and-take situations.
Marius Kudzmanas, in the cutoff, was one of the few players to make a play for his tournament life, moving all in from the cutoff. All three players behind checked their cards, only to pitch them into the muck.
Boris Kolev limped in from the small blind and Nicolae Paunescu checked his option in the big blind. Both players checked the hand to a showdown as the full board now read A♦5♠4♦6♦9♥.
Kolev rolled over Q♣8♠ for queen-high, but was bested by the K♣Q♥ of Paunescu for king-high.

Boris Kolev raised to 200,000 from early position and Karen Nazarian called on the button.
The flop came 7♠10♠K♣ and Kolev bet 200,000. Nazarian clicked it back to 400,000 and Kolev called.
The turn was the 8♥ and Kolev checked. Nazarian bet 315,000. Kolev moved all in for 1,600,000 and Nazarian folded to concede the pot.
Ryhor Karapanau moved all in for 1,310,000 from the hijack. Nicolae Paunescu, in the cutoff, woke up with a hand and moved all in himself.

The A♣ in the window looked promising for Karapanau, however, the Q♣2♣ that followed behind gave Paunescu a set. The K♥ turn and 6♦ river changed nothing and Karapanau was the first casualty of this final table.
The final table has commenced at a slow pace so far, with most hands in the last couple of orbits taken down with a single preflop raise or three-bet.
Matthias Lipp has three-bet a couple of pots and Guo Liang Wei has four-bet all in, but there has been little change to the chip counts since players returned from the break.
