Batlle Gets Value with a River Lead
Niveau 5
: Blinds 300/600, 600 ante
Berthold Winz raised to 1,200 from the hijack, receiving calls from both the blinds.
The action checked to Winz, who continued for 1,600 on the 9♥7♦6♦ flop. Ladislao Batlle called, from the small blind, while the big blind folded.
The 4♠ prompted Batlle to check-call a second bet of 4,000.
The 5♣ river saw Batlle play out of flow with a lead of 12,500. Winz made a quick call. Batlle rolled over 8♦6♣ having rivered a straight. Winz launched his cards to the muck with some frustration.
