Bobby James raised to 1,700,000 in the cutoff, leaving 525,000 behind, and Georgios Tsouloftas moved all in from the small blind. James called for his remaining stack.
Bobby James: K♦Q♥
Georgios Tsouloftas: A♥J♣
James needed help going to the flop, which came 9♣7♦5♣. The 3♠ turn left him one card away from elimination and James watched the 7♠ come on the river to spell the end of the tournament for the UK pro who more than doubled his previous career earnings with his fifth-place finish.
Bobby James K♦8♦ opened to 240,000 from the cutoff before Oliver Weis A♦K♠ three-bet to 680,000 from the button. The blinds folded and James responded with a four-bet to 1,600,000. Weis jammed as the bigger stack and James conceded the pot.
Andriy Lyubovetskiy raised to 240,000 under the gun and Mikhail Shalamov three-bet to 700,000 in the cutoff. Lyubovetskiy then moved all in for 1,160,000 and Shalamov called.
Andriy Lyubovetskiy: A♠A♦
Mikhail Shalamov: K♦K♣
Lyubovetskiy found himself on the right side of an aces-versus-kings cooler and was poised for a double up, but the J♣9♣2♣ flop meant he had to sweat Shalamov's flush draw. The 5♦ turn was safe, while the 5♠ on the river sealed his double up.
On the hand after pulling off his big bluff against Oliver Weis, Georgios Tsouloftas picked up K♠K♦ under the gun and raised to 250,000. Mikhail Shalamov called on the button, as did Weis in the big blind.
The K♥Q♥4♥ flop gave Tsouloftas top set and he bet 250,000. Shalamov quickly folded A♦J♠, while Weis also got rid of 10♦9♦ and Tsouloftas took the pot.
Oliver Weis raised to 250,000 from under the gun and called when Georgios Tsouloftas three-bet to 850,000 from the cutoff.
Weis called bets of 425,000 and 900,000 on the flop and turn for the final board to read A♣6♣3♣7♣10♦.
Weis checked for a third time, and went deep into the tank after Tsouloftas sized up to 2,200,000. Seven time banks later, Weis ditched his 9♦9♣, only to be shown A♠2♥ by Tsouloftas who windmilled the bluff onto the table.
